Blanket Access Health Initiative (BAHI) is a newly established nonprofit working to strengthen Zambia’s health supply chains by translating policy into reliable access to medicines and medical supplies at every level.

How we work
Partnership & Policy Alignment
We collaborate closely with the Ministry of Health and partners to strengthen national supply chain systems, aligning with national strategies, supporting policy reforms, and advocating for increased domestic financing to ensure equitable access to essential medicines and health commodities.
Systems Strengthening & Capacity Building
BAHI builds sustainable local systems by providing technical assistance, training, and mentorship. We enhance procurement processes, warehousing capacity, and last-mile distribution efficiency to ensure consistent availability and affordability of essential medicines.
Innovation, Warehousing & Logistics Excellence
We integrate technology-driven solutions to improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the supply chain. Through our asset-light model, BAHI coordinates warehousing and transport services with trusted third-party providers to ensure timely, reliable delivery of health commodities.
Our Programs
Essential Medicines Access
BAHI works with health facilities, partners, and distributors to strengthen access to lifesaving medicines. We support demand forecasting, procurement, and equitable distribution to ensure no facility runs out of essential health commodities
Supply Chain Systems Strengthening
Through collaboration with the Ministry of Health and technical partners, BAHI builds capacity in procurement, warehousing, and last-mile delivery. We provide hands-on technical assistance and training to promote sustainability across the national supply chain
Policy, Innovation & Advocacy
BAHI contributes to national health policy development, advocates for domestic financing, and champions innovative digital solutions that enhance visibility, accountability, and efficiency across Zambia’s health supply chain.
